Dearest Joan,
We were only sorry to see your ravishingly lovely Jackie for so short a moment - she looks like a fairy princess, & wrote such a very dear letter.  Please thank her.
Ralph recovered from this in record time, & has been out & about all this week.  I went to Phedra on Monday, while he conducted madrigals - but then succumbed to a cold & retired to bed, & have just arisen.  We are going to hear the Passion1 in German at St Bartholomews2 on Saturday!
N news here, but very much love rom us both

1.  Either the John or Matthew Passion by Bach.
2.  St Bartholomew's, Smithfield Market.
