Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Herbert Byard

Letter No.:
August 11th 1957.

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

Dear Herbert,
Thank you so much for your letter.  I am sorry you are not getting the chair at present, but it will come in time I am sure.1
I like your account of your organ - I am sure it is quite right for Bach.  My ideal organ is one in which the action is too heavy to play the Widor Toccata.
Love from us both
