Letter from Gwen Beckett (BBC) to Ralph Vaughan Williams

Letter No.:
13th April 1948.

Dear Dr. Vaughan Williams,

I expect you know already that Covent Garden have invited Sir Adrian to conduct a full performance of the ‘Job’ Ballet1 on May 20th , and he has asked me to say that he would very much like to have an early meeting with you and Madame de Valois to discuss the tempi.
I wonder if you are going to be in London at all soon?  I am afraid nothing is very easy for Sir Adrian this week, but the afternoons of Friday 23rd and Monday 26th are possibilities for him if, by any chance, you are free at either of these times.
Yours sincerely
