Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Ina Boyle

Letter No.:
July 5 [1933]

The White Gates,
Westcott Road,

Dear Miss Boyle

I am so sorry I was not able to give you another lesson.
Your interview with Edwin Evans1 seems to have been satisfactory as far as it goes and I think you were quite right to leave the score. I do hope something will come of it.  Many thanks for your letter and enclosure.
It's a nuisance about my ancle.2  It is cracked but not broken right across and I have got to keep still for 3 weeks at least.  But I am perfectly well and suffer no pain -
Yours sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams
